  • EDFL 106 - Introduction to Education

Ronald J. Dore’ joined the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership in the College of Education in 2009.  He became a full-time instructor in the fall of 2011.  Prior to coming to UL at Lafayette, he was a classroom teacher and administrator in St. Martin Parish.  Ronald received his Baccalaureate degree in French with a minor in Spanish from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, presently known as UL at Lafayette.  He received his Master’s Degree in Administration and his Specialist Degree in Supervision from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

He taught English, French and reading courses at Cecilia Jr. High School and Cecilia High School in St. Martin Parish for sixteen years.  He transferred to Breaux Bridge High School as assistant principal for three years and then became principal for nineteen years.  After serving in the public school system for thirty-eight years, he retired in 2008.  In his free time, he visits the three high schools in St. Martin Parish to speak with the students of junior and senior status to inform them of the educational opportunities that UL at Lafayette can provide them.
