During the past year our faculty has been hard at work, and we are very proud of all of their efforts both inside and outside the classroom.

Some of our faculty highlights include:

Linda Fairchild as co-authored a paper with colleagues in Educational Policy on caring and engagement in schools.

Sebnem Cilesiz has been appointed to the board of Organizational Research Methods, as well as the board of Educational Technology Research.

Roslin Growe co-authored four papers with Ed.D. doctoral students in the International Journal of Social Policy & Education, the National Science Journal, and the International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences

Jin Lee co-authored papers on charter schools access and management in Teachers College Record and Educational Policy Analysis Archives.

Amanda Mayeaux has been appointed Associate Editor for Research in the Schools, and has completed a book chapter with Dr. Adams and Barber.

Robert Slater presented "Allan Bloom, Donald Trump and the Crisis of Democracy in America," at the Philosophy of Education Society's annual conference this year.

Bertha Myers and Ronnie Dore published a book chapter on organizing the learning environment in F. Del Favero's (Ed.) Instructional Leadership Knowledge and Skills for K-12 Success.

Chris Giroir has been appointed to LACUSPA which is the Louisiana state board for student affairs, and has published in About Campus.

Frank Del Favero has published his second edited book titled, Instructional Leadership: Knowledge and Skills for K-12 Success.

Nancy Autin has chaired the development and recent opening of the Raphael-Evelyn Ofodum International School in Orsumoghu, Anambra State, Nigeria.
