Dr. Cilesiz is an associate professor in the Educational Foundations and Leadership department. She has earned her PhD degree from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the faculty at UL Lafayette in 2013, she has worked as an assistant professor at the Ohio State University. Her research interests include social and cultural contexts of technology use, educational experiences of students from urban schools, and qualitative research methodology. She currently teaches and advises students in the Educational Leadership doctoral program in the areas of teaching are qualitative research methodology, curriculum theory, and research practicum.
