Dr. Cilesiz is a professor in the Educational Foundations and Leadership department. She earned her PhD degree from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the faculty at UL Lafayette in 2013, she was an assistant professor at The Ohio State University. Her research interests include qualitative research methodology, critical perspectives on educational policy and leadership, and social and cultural contexts of technology use. She currently teaches and advises students in the K-12, Higher Education, and Curriculum Leaders concentrations of the Educational Leadership doctoral program.
